Springfield College Colombo to function in Borella and Battaramulla following the taking over of Northwood College

Springfield College, a fully equipped Private School that delivers the Sri Lankan Curriculum in English Medium is establishing itself as an organization that caters to an important segment of society that wishes to educate their children in the local syllabus but in English medium in an affordable manner. In a recent move, Springfield College took over Northwood College that functioned in Borella and Battaramulla over the last four years. Northwood, founded by Mr. Hussein Sadique, the Deputy Managing Director of the Hameedias group, served children from Nursery to Grade 8 in the national curriculum in the English medium. With the commencement of Springfield College in Colombo, the promoters of both schools saw the two schools having similar values and thought it was appropriate for Springfield College to take over Northwood with the sole intention of providing a better future for those currently studying at Northwood.

Brigadier Udaya Aryaratne, the Principal of Springfield College Colombo, counts years of experience in educational leadership. He was the former Principal of Trinity College, Kandy.
